The Jumping Lesson
Katie is a natural-born teacher, so what would be more natural than to teach your little brothers and your cousin a group class on the art of jumping. This is how it sounds:
"Down, down, down... JUMP!"
Repeat three dozen times.
The sweetest part about this is that she overheard me tell someone that jumping is one of the goals in Ben's physical therapy, so she's taken the initiative on her own to work on it with both of the boys almost daily.
Both of the boys are in different kinds of therapy to help them catch up, and she has always been very aware of what we are working on and tries to be an active part of their therapy.
When their goal was to go up and down stairs without holding on, she stayed right next to them, encouraging them every time until they got it. Since they started speech therapy, she constantly talks to them and tries to get them to say things she knows I'm working on with them, AND she learns the sign language we're using and uses it when she talks to them.
She has the biggest heart.
