Who's Up For Some Sight-Seeing?

Graumanschinese_2 One of my workshop attendees for the February 29-March 2 Ten For The Weekend has said that as long as she's out here, she'd love to see some of the Los Angeles sights, but doesn't want to venture into a strange city alone.

Jlmstarshollywood_sign_3 If a few more of you want to add a day to your trip out here, I might be persuaded to take you on a little guided tour to see the sights.  We could go to the famous Hollywood and Vine and see the Chinese Theater with all the handprints and stars on the sidewalk, see the Hollywood sign, drive on the Sunset Strip, go up into the Hollywood Hills and see the mansions, drive out to the awesomely funky Venice Beach, and maybe hit Rodeo Drive so we can get kicked out of the fancy boutiques a la Pretty Woman.

972005rodeo_drive_beverly_hillssm_2 There is also the fabulously gaudy Universal Citywalk, the oh-so-hip Melrose shopping area, the LA Farmer's Market, movie studio lots, Griffith Observitory where you can see the almost the entire city from up high, the Santa Monica Pier, the list goes on and on... We couldn't see everything, but we could have a mighty fun time.

It would be a great day to bring your camera and capture some of the sights of Los Angeles that you just won't see anywhere else.

Losangelesuniversalcitywalkpic_fs_3 I don't know how I'd actually be able to swing a fourth day away from the family to do something like this, but it sure does sound like a good time, and a great way for this mommy of four to have a mini-vacation.

Heck, even if you aren't taking the workshop, you should come just for the day trip!

Anyone interested?
